In short, every payment for SoldComparables is final, and refunds are given only in the three situations described below. You can cancel your subscription at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
What you pay for
A SoldComparables plan (Pro, Investor or Broker) is a subscription for access to the service for a monthly or yearly period, with the features and monthly limits shown on the pricing page. We do not sell credits and do not sell single reports. Access for the whole period is granted when the period begins, whether or not you use it.
Before paying, you can run a search on the homepage without an account, see 3 comparable sales and the estimate range, and after signing up you get one full report as a one-time demonstration. The pricing page lists what each plan includes, so you can check what you are buying.
Payments are final
The following are not grounds for a refund, in full or in part:
- changing your mind or no longer needing the service;
- not using the service, or not using all of your monthly searches, reports or API calls, during a paid period;
- forgetting to cancel before a renewal, or cancelling shortly after one;
- believing a plan was a one-off payment, when every plan is a recurring subscription and this is stated at checkout, in the confirmation email and in your account;
- disagreeing with an estimate, since every estimate is a data-backed opinion built from recorded sales and not a certified appraisal, as explained on the methodology page;
- a domain selling, or not selling, at a price different from an estimate;
- finding few or no comparable sales for a particular name;
- expecting a feature that is not described on the pricing page;
- choosing the wrong plan or billing period;
- moving to a lower plan, which applies from the next period;
- the remainder of a period after you cancel, which is never pro-rated;
- use of your account by someone you shared your login or API key with.
The only exceptions
We issue a refund only in these cases, only when the records support it and only up to the affected charge.
Duplicate charge
You were charged twice for the same period because of an error in our billing.
Proven unauthorised charge
Your card was used without your permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and our records and those of the payment processor confirm it. We may ask you to confirm that you have reported the matter to your card issuer.
Total service failure
A fault on our side made the service completely unavailable for a continuous period, you reported it to us at the time, and we could not fix it. Slower responses, partial problems, a missing comparable for a particular name and issues with your own device, browser or network are not included.
A refund, when granted, goes to the original payment method and is limited to the amount paid for the affected period.
Customers in the European Union
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. At checkout you ask us to give you access immediately and confirm that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once access begins. Your right of withdrawal lapses only after you have given that consent and acknowledgement. After that, the rules on this page apply.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in the billing section of your panel, without contacting us. Cancelling stops all future renewals straight away. You keep access until the end of the current paid period. Cancelling does not reverse a payment that has already been collected, and it is not a refund request.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. If a renewal payment fails, the payment processor retries it over the following days, because the new period has already started and its payment is due. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the renewal date shown in your panel.
How to ask for a refund
Write to [email protected] within 14 days of the charge, from the email address of your account. Include the date and amount of the charge and which of the three exceptions applies, with any supporting details. We assess the request against the records of the account and the payment.
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank, so we can look into it. When a dispute is opened, we provide the transaction and account records to the card issuer.
